RPC Blackburn - Wilko Timbercare label
Project overview
- To produce a very high quality label using the latest UV flexo technology that would match, even surpass, the standard set by offset litho and all within a very tight timescale.
Challenges
- The label was exceptionally large and required AJS to invest in new cylinders.
- The tight deadline meant the labels were required within three working days of AJS receiving approved artwork.
Solutions
- Great skill was needed in developing the plates for this label. Our repro team worked closely with the printers to produce artwork with a clear image and perfect green vignettes. Our computer-to-plate-making equipment was essential.
- The large plates were particularly difficult to align and mount but this was vital in ensuring a sharp image.

- 5 flexo + turbo laminate to give a strong and easy-to-apply label.
